Explore Our Outreach Ministries

Mary Queen of Peace offers several outreach ministries designed to assist those in need directly. Here are some of the key programs:

  • St. Vincent de Paul Society: Our St. Vincent de Paul Society offers financial assistance, food, clothing, and other essentials. Volunteers also make home visits to understand and address your needs personally.
  • Food Pantry: Our Food Pantry is here to help if you're facing food insecurity. We distribute food to individuals and families on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 to 12:00 at 1000 Ogilvie St., Bossier City, LA 71111.
  • Holiday Assistance Programs: During Thanksgiving and Christmas, we work with multiple organizaitions collecting and distributing goods to those in need. Each year changes are made. Check in during these times for which programs the church is participating.
  • Mary’s House: Pregnancy outreach center for unplanned pregnancies in Northwest Louisiana
  • Pastoral Care and Counseling:  For spiritual guidance and emotional support, our pastoral care team is available. We offer counseling and home visits to provide comfort and advice.
  • Support for the Elderly and Homebound: Our volunteers visit elderly and homebound parishioners, offering companionship and bringing the Eucharist to those unable to attend Mass.
  • Disaster Relief Efforts: In times of disaster, we mobilize resources to offer immediate and long-term support. If you’re affected by a disaster, reach out to learn how we can help.
  • Community Service Projects: Join us in community service projects aimed at making our community a better place. From cleanup efforts to building repairs, there are many ways to get involved and receive help.
  • Bereavement Ministry: Losing a loved one is never easy. Our Bereavement Ministry offers support through counseling, support groups, and memorial services.
