Upcoming Events at Mary, Queen of Peace

As the new school year approaches, Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church is excited to announce the start of several key programs and regular activities that provide opportunities for spiritual growth, community involvement, and fellowship.

Here’s what’s coming up:

• Faith Formation for Elementary Students: Begins soon! Classes will be held every Sunday morning from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. during the school year. This program is designed to help young children grow in their faith and understanding of Catholic teachings. 
• Sacramental Preparation: Also starting soon, this program will meet every Wednesday night from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. It is essential for children preparing to receive their First Communion and Confirmation. 
• OCIA for Adults: The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) will begin meeting weekly on Thursday nights from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. during the school year. This program is perfect for adults interested in joining the Catholic Church or deepening their understanding of the faith.
• Youth Group: For post-confirmation teens through high school graduation, meeting Sunday nights from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. during the school year.
• Zoom Bible Study: Every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. A great way to stay connected and grow in faith from the comfort of your home.

Regularly Scheduled Events

• Catholic Daughters of America: Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the parish hall.
• Knights of Columbus: The Knights meet on the second Monday of the month and hold a social on the fourth Monday at 6:30 p.m., alternating months with Christ the King.
• Choir Practice: Every other Sunday at 9:30 a.m. beginning July 14th.
• Ladies Guild: Meetings are from September to April on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m.
• Game Night: Held on Saturdays after Mass. The specific Saturday varies, so keep an eye on the church bulletin for the schedule.
• Pastoral Council: Meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Conference Room.
• Finance Council: Meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Conference Room.
• Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SSVdP): Meetings are on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Caplis Center.
